The Appleton-area plant, which produces DiGiorno, California Pizzq Kitchen, Tombstone and Jack's pizzas, has already filleed about 200 of thosenew jobs, Kraftf said. opened the 108,000-square-foot expansion in a ribbon-cutting ceremonyg Thursday. "This major expansion in Little Chute showas our commitment to Wisconsin and givex us the capacity we need to maintainb ourstrong momentum," said Tim Cofer, president of Kraftf Pizza Co. The expanded plan t now houses a new pizza crust bakery line and an assemblty line that will help the plant meet current and futurde demand forthe company's products.
Kraft said it is donatint the first 10,000 pizzase from the plant to in Milwaukee and in Almost all KraftPizza Co.'s pizzas are producee at its plants in Little Chute and and more than 75 percent of the cheese used on the pizzza is from Wisconsin. The Little Chute planrt is the former homeof Jack's Frozen Pizza Inc., which was acquiresd by Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods (NYSE: KFT) in 1992.
