Santa Clara-based Applied (NASDAQ:AMAT) said the gift went to the school’es Nanofabrication Laboratory in the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interesrof Society. ” CITRIS will foster work on novel semiconductor devices and their integration with nanowires/nanotubes, microelectomechanical optoelectronics, and bioelectronics. The systems donated by Applied will be used to deposiy two of the most critical thin films that are partof next-generationh integrated circuits: epitaxy and gate dielectrics.
