Explosion shuts Sunoco Marcus Hook refinery: No injuries, fire under control - Philadelphia Business Journal:

Sunoc o plans to boost production at its refineriexs in Philadelphia andEagle Point, N.J.
, in an attempt to make up for the lost production at the refinery, Golembeski said. The three refineries are linkerd by pipelines and Sunoco operates them as asinglw unit. Reuters was reporting that gasoline futures on the New York Mercantild Exchange RBc1 wereup 4.23 cents to a littlse more than $1.72 per gallon early Sunoco can process 178,000 barrels of crude oil per day at the Marcus Hook part of which is located in Claymont, Del. It can processe 335,000 barrels per day at its Philadelphisa refineryand 145,000 barrels per day its Eagled Point refinery. Sunoco didn’t know what caused the explosio that startedthe fire.
“A full investigationb will begin as soon as the fireis out, we can securwe the area and make sure that it is safe to go to that part of the Golembeski said. No one has been evacuated because ofthe fire.
